The Paris Burlesque Festival has been the first and only international festival of Burlesque in France since 2009.

This year, the PBF#6 calls for artistic and eccentric insurrection. This year, we wish go back to the keystones of burlesque and activism. The dancers are going to take sides and assert their opinions glamorously and provocatively. No more gloom, individualism or indifference, the best burlesque artists are meeting in Paris for a wake up call! More than ever, we wish to celebrate with our bodies the people’s uprising and create the ideal world! Speeches and programs, certainly, but with glitter!

After “PARIS” in 2009, “CIRCUS” in 2010, “LAS VEGAS” in 2011, “FIESTA DE LA MUERTE” in 2012, “NEW WORLD” in 2013, the 2014 edition encourages its guests to think about political issues : feminism, ecology, tolerance (gender, color, religion). Serious subjects, but dealt with buoyancy, fun and glamour to induce reflexion, dialogue and open-mindedness.

Juliette Dragon

Queen of Parisian nights and live performing arts, Juliette Dragon creates in 2003 the first troupe of New Burlesque Cabaret dancers in Paris, the Cabaret des Filles de Joie, at a time when Burlesque was far from being the fashionable item it has since become.
Mixing elements from retro Music-hall and extravagant modern performances, always full of glamour and fun, the troupe presents dance and burlesque stripping numbers for all audiences, in and out of France.
« Toutes les femmes sont belles » (“All Women Are Beautiful”)
Directress of the first school of stripping and new burlesque cabaret in France in 2008, Juliette Dragon is known for her feminist activism, advocating the right for women to dare assert their femininity whatever their hight, weight, age, social condition or skin color.

Seb le Bison

Architect, musician, sound engineer and event planner, Seb le Bison creates the label Le Bison Production in 2003, which produces records, organizes concerts, and promotes Parisian artists.
His work is his passion, and he choses to support artists and produce works without compromising his commitments and ideals. Since it started, the label has produced several artists, released a dozen records, developed several labels (La Féline,…), and has even set shop in Thailand (Full Moon Party).
Meeting Juliette Dragon in 2007 enables him to fulfill his all-time passion for pin-ups, by setting up events mixing rock concerts and burlesque visual performances.
